RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• First time travelers welcome
• 2 years of experience required
• 1:1 patient ratio for days, nights, and weekends
• Weekend coverage required
• Call required per unit needs
• May float within facility within scope of practice
• 40 hours of orientation provided
• Average 40 cases per day
• Care for patients of all ages: adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics
• Must be proficient in multiple surgical specialties including Trauma, ENT, Colorectal, Plastics, Neurosurgery, Surgical Oncology, Oral/Dental, Laparoscopic Procedures, Urology, Ophthalmology, GYN, General, Orthopedic, Robotics, Vascular, and Thoracic procedures
• Required certifications: BLS, 16-hour Maryland approved trauma course (required by 27th week), 8-hour annual trauma CEUs
• Preferred certifications: ACLS, NIHSS, PALS
• Valid Maryland or Compact license required at time of submission
• Experience with Da Vinci Xi Surgical System preferred
• Trauma Level II experience required, Level I preferred
• Cerner charting system experience preferred
• Complete virtual modules on first day (8 hours for new starts, varies by specialty)
• Annual modules required (75-175 minutes depending on unit)
