RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 11:00 AM to 7:30 PM shifts
• Weekend coverage required with call per unit needs
• First time travelers welcome
• 2 years of nursing experience required
• 1:1 patient ratio for all shifts
• 40 hours of orientation provided
• Must be proficient in multiple surgical specialties including Trauma, ENT, Colorectal, Plastics, Neurosurgery, Surgical Oncology, Oral/Dental, Laparoscopic Procedures, Urology, Ophthalmology, GYN, General, Orthopedic, Robotics, Vascular, and Thoracic surgeries
• Handle average of 40 cases per day
• Care for patients of all ages: Adults, Pediatrics, and Geriatrics
• May float within facility scope, with Radiology potentially floating to affiliate hospital nearby
• Required certifications: BLS, 16-hour Maryland approved trauma course by 27th week, 8-hour annual trauma CEUs
• Preferred certifications: ACLS, NIHSS, PALS
• Valid Maryland or Compact nursing license required at time of submission
• Extensive skills required including robotic surgery (Da Vinci Xi), trauma procedures, and various specialty surgical procedures
• Work with advanced technology and minimally invasive techniques
• Complete virtual modules on first day (8 hours for new starts, varying by specialty)
• Maximum assignment length of 365 days with 6-month separation period required before return
