RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work day shifts from 6:45 AM to 3:15 PM
• First time travelers welcome
• 2 years of nursing experience required
• Patient ratio of 1:1 for all shifts
• Call required per unit needs
• Weekend coverage required
• 40 hours of orientation provided
• May float within facility and to affiliate hospital nearby
• Average 40 cases per day
• Care for patients of all ages: adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS
• 16-hour Maryland approved trauma course required by 27th week
• 8-hour annual trauma CEUs required
• Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)
• Valid Maryland or Compact nursing license required
• Must be proficient in multiple surgical specialties including trauma, ENT, colorectal, plastics, neurosurgery, surgical oncology, oral/dental, laparoscopic procedures, urology, ophthalmology, GYN, general, orthopedic, robotics, vascular, and thoracic surgeries
• Experience with Da Vinci robotic surgical system
• Charting system experience with Cerner preferred
• Trauma Level II experience required, Level I preferred
• Previous charge experience preferred
