RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Part-time position requiring 24 hours per week on Saturday and Sunday only
• First-time travelers welcome
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
• Valid Maryland or Compact nursing license required at time of submission
• Required certifications: BLS, 16-hour Maryland approved trauma course (by 27th week), 8-hour annual trauma CEUs
• Preferred certifications: ACLS, NIHSS, PALS
• Must be proficient in surgical services including Trauma, ENT, Colorectal, Plastics, Neurosurgery, Surgical Oncology, Oral/Dental, Laparoscopic Procedures, Urology, Ophthalmology, GYN, General, Orthopedic, Robotics, Vascular, and Thoracic procedures
• 1:1 patient ratio for all shifts
• Call required per unit needs
• Weekend coverage required
• 40 hours of orientation provided
• May float within facility and potentially to affiliate hospital nearby
• Work with Da Vinci robotic surgical system
• Handle average of 40 cases per day
• Care for patients of all ages: adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics
• Complete virtual modules on first day (8 hours for new starts)
• Flu vaccine required with medical exemptions only
• Trauma Level II experience required, Level I experience preferred
• Previous charge experience and Cerner charting system experience preferred
