Travel or Local Allied Healthcare Professional needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Echo Technologist - Echo Tech

Job Details:

• Work Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM and Saturday 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM
• Perform both cardiac and vascular studies with adult and geriatric patients
• 2 years of experience required, first-time travelers accepted
• Community hospital experience required
• Required certifications: ARDMS RDCS AE or CCI RCS, BLS, RVS
• Skills include 3-D Echo, Adult Acute Care, Adult Outpatient, Bubble Study, TEE, Vascular-Carotid, Vascular-Arterial, and more
• Perform inpatient bedside studies and outpatient studies in hospital laboratory
• Handle approximately 225 TTE, 4 TEE, and 6 Stress Echo procedures monthly
• Work with patients predominantly 40 years and older with diagnoses including chest pain, CVA, cardiomyopathy, hypertension, shortness of breath, and atrial fibrillation
• 16 hours of orientation required
• May float within scope if needed
• Natural nail policy enforced
• Complete required modules during orientation week on VCU Learning Exchange

Facility:

This community hospital features an accredited cardiovascular department by the IAC for both echo and vascular laboratories. The department handles a comprehensive range of procedures including echocardiograms, vascular studies, stress tests, ambulatory cardiac monitors, and EKG management. The facility is staffed by experienced sonographers and nurses, with some team members holding dual registrations in both cardiac and vascular specialties. The hospital maintains modern equipment and provides both inpatient bedside services and outpatient laboratory studies.
