RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 36 or 48 hour shifts per week with guaranteed contracted hours
• 1:5 patient ratio maintained across all shifts
• 60%-80% of Emergency Department patients are admitted with many ED rooms serving as "ED Holding"
• 2 years of experience required (will review 1.5 years); Level I Trauma experience preferred
• Travel experience strongly preferred, though candidates with 2+ years Level I experience may be considered
• Weekend coverage required as needed (Saturday/Sunday days, Friday/Saturday/Sunday nights)
• Floating to Pediatric ED is optional; floating to Adult PCUs is expected based on staffing needs
• Potential floating to ED Holding and Trauma areas depending on experience
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH, PALS, TNCC (must have TNCC before submission)
• Black scrubs required (not provided by facility)
• Medication administration including IV medications, documentation, and clinical communication
• Experience with Level I trauma center operations, resuscitation, and triage preferred
• No on-call responsibilities
• 24-hour orientation provided
• Cerner charting system experience preferred
• No locals within 100 miles accepted
• New Mexico license can be pending at time of submission
• RQI certifications not accepted

Facility:

This major academic medical center serves as a Level I Trauma Center and Children's Hospital with 554 staffed beds. The facility operates as a comprehensive teaching hospital providing short-term acute care services. The Emergency Department handles a high-acuity patient population with 53 rooms and 68 beds, seeing 170-200 patients daily with approximately 175 visits per day. The facility is designated as a Certified Comprehensive Stroke Center and offers extensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, pharmacy, and transportation services.
