RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 36/48 hour alternating schedule with 84 hours biweekly and 72 hour guarantee
• 4:1 patient ratio for days, nights, and weekends
• Weekend coverage required
• 48 hours of orientation provided
• 3 years of experience preferred, 2 years acceptable if from high volume/trauma facility
• No first-time travelers accepted
• Travel experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS
• Epic charting system experience required
• Trauma Level II experience preferred
• Care for patients of all age groups from neonates to geriatrics
• Work in 62-room emergency department with daily census of 190
• Handle complex cases including trauma, cardiac events, stroke patients, and psychiatric emergencies
• Perform procedures including chest tube management, BiPAP/CPAP management, intubation assistance, and arterial blood gas interpretation
• Manage patients with multisystem organ dysfunction and provide emergency medications
• Must complete lab requirements within 72 hours of accepting offer
• License must be in-hand before start date
• Hard documents due 3 business days prior to start

This healthcare facility operates as a Level II Trauma Center and is certified for STEMI and Stroke care. The emergency department features 62 rooms and maintains a high daily census of 190 patients. The facility provides comprehensive interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and unit secretary support. The organization utilizes Epic charting system and maintains high standards for emergency care delivery.
