RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Schedule: 3x12s with every 3rd weekend and holidays as needed
• Patient ratio of 1:6 consistently across all shifts
• Float required between all Cone Health campuses if needed
• Minimum 1 year of experience required - no first-time travelers accepted
• Acute care rehab experience preferred
• Must pass mandatory EKG exam (Pass/Fail) - 2 attempts allowed with no study materials provided
• Zero-tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences
• BLS certification required
• EPIC charting system experience required
• 24 hours of orientation provided
• Non-billable modules averaging 2-4 hours completed during orientation
• Skills required: interpretation of laboratory results, medication reconciliation, patient health questionnaire history, vital signs monitoring, dressing changes, sterile procedure setup, specimen collection and labeling, telephone triage, and pharmacy coordination
• Care for patients with CVA, TBI, ABI, spinal cord injury, neurological diagnoses, and generalized debility
• Provide specialized inpatient rehabilitation care for post-stroke, aneurysm, post-operative surgical, brain injury, and spinal cord injury patients
• Work with adults and geriatric patient populations on a 49-bed unit with daily census of 39
• Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretary
