RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Work 3x12 hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend schedule with holidays as needed
• Patient ratio of 6:1 for all shifts
• Float required when census is down across all Cone Health facilities
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
• First time travelers accepted
• Previous Charge RN experience preferred
• BLS certification required
• ACLS and NIHSS certifications required
• EPIC charting system experience required
• Must pass mandatory EKG exam during onboarding (2 attempts allowed)
• 48 hours of orientation provided
• Care for observation patients, respiratory conditions, general medical/surgical diagnoses, palliative/end of life/hospice patients, psychiatric observation, diabetes patients, and surgical patients
• Skills include telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, IV management, wound care, feeding tube care, blood product administration, and various medical equipment operation
• Zero-tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences
• Must complete compliance file by 12 noon EST the Wednesday prior to start date
• Local radius restriction of 50 miles - no local candidates accepted

The facility features a 30-bed medical/surgical telemetry unit with a daily census of 16 patients and extensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams.
