RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work in cardiac stepdown unit with multidisciplinary care for 48 private beds
• Patient ratio of 1:4/5 for days, nights, and weekends with team nursing ratios
• 36 or 48-hour shifts available, schedule may change during interview process
• Weekend coverage required as needed
• On-call responsibilities as needed
• Must have 2+ years of nursing experience (3+ years preferred)
• Level I Trauma experience required
• Travel experience required - first-time travelers not accepted
• Large hospital experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Skills needed: Telemetry, IV Start
• Flu vaccine required with no exemptions
• Active RN license in state or compact license required
• ADN acceptable for this position
• Cerner experience preferred
• Must live at least 100 miles from facility
• May float between like units and campuses within 20 miles
• Must work 2 of 3 major holidays if Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years fall during assignment
• All requested time off must be included at time of submission

Facility:

This healthcare organization operates as a short-term acute care facility and Level I Trauma Center with a 48-bed cardiac stepdown unit. The facility provides comprehensive interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation services. The cardiac stepdown unit is designed for continuous monitoring and care of patients with cardiac, pulmonary, and other disease processes requiring more intensive observation than standard medical/surgical units but less than intensive care.
