RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 36 or 48-hour shifts with schedule subject to change during interview
• Patient ratios of 1:4/5 for days, nights, and weekends using team nursing approach
• Weekend coverage required as needed
• On-call shifts as needed
• Must have 2+ years of nursing experience (3+ years preferred)
• Level I Trauma experience required
• Travel experience required
• Large hospital experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Skills needed: Telemetry, IV Start
• Cerner experience preferred
• Must have active RN license in state or compact license
• ADN acceptable for this position
• Flu vaccine required with no exemptions
• Must live at least 100 miles from facility
• Must have completed at least 1 previous travel assignment
• Provide care for cardiac stepdown patients requiring continuous monitoring
• Work with 48-bed unit equipped for bedside and telemetry monitoring
• Care for patients with cardiac, pulmonary and other disease processes
• May float between like units and campuses within 20 miles
• Must be willing to work required holidays during assignment

This healthcare facility operates as a short-term acute care hospital and Level I Trauma Center. The cardiac stepdown unit is a multidisciplinary care unit with 48 private beds designed for bedside and telemetry monitoring of patients requiring more than standard medical/surgical care but less than intensive care. The facility provides comprehensive interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and various specialized services to ensure high-quality patient care and satisfaction.
