RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 10-hour shifts, 4 days per week from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM
• Scheduled day off based on department needs with special requests considered when possible
• Scheduled to work late a few times per month
• No on-call requirements
• Possibility of floating within Perioperative facility to meet needs
• Block scheduling available per manager's discretion
• Guaranteed hours with facility allowed to call off 1 shift per 2 weeks (10 hours per 2-week period)
• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• Required certifications: South Carolina or Compact License, BLS
• Radiation badge must be provided by parent company
• Experience required in Ophthalmology, Ortho, ENT, GYN, GU, Endocrine, Surgical Oncology, Plastics, Robotics, Total Joints, and ENT
• Must be well-rounded in specialties that align with caseload (no general surgery, L&D, or pediatrics)
• First-time travelers not accepted
• Local candidates accepted within 60-mile radius
• All RTO must be included at time of submission with approval based on facility needs
• Multiple RTO requests within 8-13 week contract will be denied
• Responsible for prepping patients prior to surgery including reviewing history, reconciling medications, obtaining vital signs and EKGs, starting IVs, and administering medications
• Provide post-anesthesia recovery care including monitoring vital signs and discharge planning
• Work with variety of patients in Orthopedics, Interventional Radiology, and GI procedures
• Epic charting system experience preferred
• Skills include scrubbing arthroscopic and orthopedic surgeries, cardiac monitoring, infection control, laser safety, radiation safety, and wound management

This ambulatory surgery center specializes in orthopedic procedures and features 20 bays for pre/post patients, 2 operating rooms, 2 GI procedural rooms, and 1 VIR procedural room. The facility maintains state-of-the-art equipment including Skytron slider beds, Neptune suction systems, Stryker power tools, Arthrex integrated arthroscopy systems, and advanced imaging capabilities. The center provides comprehensive perioperative care with interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, interpretation services, pharmacy, and radiology services in a fast-paced surgical environment.
