RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts with option for 4x12s schedule
• Every other weekend (EOW) requirement
• Float to like units as needed
• Possible charge nurse responsibilities as needed
• Patient ratio of 1:6 for days, nights, and weekends
• 30-minute lunch break required with no skipped meals policy
• Care for adult and geriatric patient populations
• 30-bed Med Surg unit with regular medical surgical patients
• Skills required: IV starts, isolation precautions, wound care/wound vac, colostomy/ileostomy management, feeding tube care, blood product administration, peripheral and PICC line management, heparin and insulin administration, PCA management, surgical drains, oxygen administration
• Required certifications: Alabama RN license, current BLS via AHA, fit test
• NIHSS and Level II trauma experience preferred
• Travel experience preferred
• 1 year of nursing experience required
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Must adhere to call-in policy and attendance requirements
• Maximum 7 days requested time off allowed
• Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and more
