RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work three 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Every 3rd weekend required
• Float required to other units as needed
• 2 years of nursing experience required
• Surgical ICU experience required
• First-time travelers accepted
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
• Must successfully pass the Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with minimum 80% overall score and 100% on lethal rhythms
• Patient ratio of 2-3 patients
• Care for adult and geriatric patients with diagnoses including acute MI, respiratory failure, COPD exacerbation, pneumonia, PE, DKA, sepsis, and cardiac arrest
• Perform specialized procedures including TPA administration, manual proning, post-cath care, sheath removal, IABP management, and continuous renal replacement therapy
• Work with advanced equipment including Flotrac monitoring, IABP, Swan-Ganz catheters, and ventilators
• 24 hours of orientation provided
• Daily census of 18 patients in 24-bed unit
• Must complete facility-specific modules within one week of contract signing
