RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

RN - PICU

Job Details:

• Work 3x12 hour rotating shifts in 4-week block rotations, 50/50 days and nights
• Day shift: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM, Night shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
• 4 weekend shifts required per 4-week schedule
• Patient ratios: 1:1, 1:2, 1:3 depending on ICU and step-down patient mix
• Float within scope to meet facility needs
• Holiday requirement if contract occurs during holiday periods
• Guaranteed hours with facility allowed to call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
• 2 years of PICU experience required
• ECMO and CRRT experience preferred
• South Carolina or Multi State/Compact RN license required
• Required certifications: BLS and PALS (American Heart Association only)
• First-time travelers accepted
• 12 hours of orientation provided
• Care for pediatric patients ages 0-18 with medical and surgical diagnoses including respiratory compromise, trauma, post-operative care, and neurology/neurosurgery
• Work with ECMO/CRRT, dialysis, and complex supportive therapies
• Use EPIC charting system
• Complete non-billable modules averaging 4 hours pre-start
• May be assigned to emergency response teams during hurricane season (June-November)

Facility:

This facility operates as a Level I Trauma Center and teaching hospital with Magnet designation, featuring 820 total staffed beds. The Pediatric Intensive Care unit is a 28-bed unit providing intensive and intermediate care to children from across the state. The unit offers comprehensive pediatric services including ventilatory and cardiac support, ECMO/CRRT capabilities, dialysis services, and pediatric palliative care. The facility maintains interdisciplinary support services including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
