RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

RN - Cardiac Tele

Job Details:

• Patient ratio of 1:5-6 during days and nights, 1:6 on weekends in a 32-bed unit
• Work with adult to geriatric patient population
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS
• Must have prior travel experience and 1 year minimum experience (first timers not accepted)
• Must have experience with cardiac drips: Amiodarone, Cardizem, Dobutamine, Dopamine, Milrinone, Nitroglycerin
• Must have experience with diuretics: Bumex, Lasix
• Must have experience with anticoagulants: Aggrastat, Argatroban, Heparin
• Must have experience with insulin drips
• Scrub color requirement: Navy Blue
• Epic charting system preferred, also use Pyxis and SBAR
• Weekend coverage typically every other weekend as needed
• Floating required within facility/scope of practice
• Call is rare with 2-hour response time requirement
• Holiday work required based on assignment period (work 1-2 holidays depending on how many fall during assignment)
• Maximum 7 days RTO per contract
• Handle overflow IMCU patients with arrhythmia management, cardioversion, cardiac CHF, chest pain cases
• Manage renal and pulmonary conditions including COPD, pulmonary edema, PE, DVT
• Care for surgical patients including cholecystectomy, appendectomy, chest tubes, biliary drains
• Provide post cardiac cath care and TR band management
• Basic arrhythmia knowledge and hemodynamic monitoring required
• 36 hours of orientation required
