RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Registered Nurse - PCU

Job Details:

• 1 year of nursing experience required, unit accepts first-time travelers
• Patient ratio of 4:1 for days, nights, and weekends
• Every other weekend coverage required
• No call responsibilities
• Float within facility/scope of practice as needed
• 12 hours of orientation required
• Care for adult and geriatric patients in a 28-bed unit with daily census of 28
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Must have experience with Epic charting system
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Trauma Level I and II experience preferred
• Required skills include cardiac telemetry, blood product administration, central line care, chest tube management, BiPAP/CPAP, IV insulin protocols, vasoactive and cardiac drip management
• Holiday coverage required: work one holiday if one occurs during assignment, both holidays if two occur, or two out of three if three major holidays occur during assignment
• Maximum 7 days RTO allowed
• Georgia or Compact license required at time of submission
• Two supervisory references highly preferred
• Full compliance required to start on time

Facility:

This medical center operates a progressive care unit that provides intermediate-level care between the intensive care unit and general medical floors. The facility features comprehensive interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy services. The PCU specializes in caring for patients requiring continuous cardiac monitoring and complex medical management in a 28-bed unit setting.
