RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 36/48 hour alternating schedule with 84 hours biweekly and 72 hour guarantee
• Block scheduling type with weekend coverage required
• Patient ratio of 4:1 for days, nights, and weekends
• 48 hours of orientation provided
• 3 years of experience preferred, no first-time travelers accepted
• Will accept 2 years of experience if traveler has worked in high volume/trauma facility
• Travel experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS
• Additional preferred certifications: CPI, MAB, ENPC
• Epic charting system experience required
• Trauma Level II experience preferred
• Care for all age groups including neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Handle daily census of 190 patients in 62-room emergency department
• Manage complex cases including trauma, stroke, STEMI, procedural sedation, and critical care procedures
• Perform skills including triage, IV management, blood product administration, central line care, arterial line management, and emergency medication administration
• Work with interdisciplinary team including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• Complete lab requirements within 72 hours of accepting offer
• License must be in-hand before start date
• 2-3 hours of non-billable modules completed during first 16 hours of orientation

This healthcare facility operates a high-volume emergency department serving as a Level II trauma center with STEMI and stroke certification. The emergency department features 62 rooms and handles approximately 190 patients daily, providing comprehensive emergency care for all age groups from neonates to geriatrics. The facility utilizes Epic charting systems and offers extensive interdisciplinary support services including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
