RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 13-week assignment with 3 x 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Patient ratio of 1:4
• Minimum 2 years of ER experience required
• Weekend requirement: 8-10 weekend shifts (Friday, Saturday, or Sunday) in 6-week scheduling period
• Holiday shifts and charge RN assignments as needed per unit
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC
• Preferred certifications: CPI and MAB
• Work in general emergency department treating combined adult/pediatric patients
• Handle cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, and multisystem organ dysfunction/failure
• Manage IV therapy, central line care, continuous IV sedation, and IV vasopressors
• Care for ventilated patients and provide CPAP/BiPAP management
• Perform triage and maintain isolation precautions
• Float between ED hold area, departments, units, and facilities as needed
• Care for patients of all age groups from neonates to geriatrics
• Guaranteed 3 shifts minimum per 13-week contract
• Maximum 7 days request time off allowed
• Kansas and Missouri licenses or compact required
• Epic charting system experience preferred

Facility:

This healthcare organization operates a non-trauma emergency department that serves as a Primary Stroke and STEMI Center. The facility features a 12-room emergency department with a daily census of approximately 50 patients. The department handles typical emergency diagnoses and occasionally manages OB patients, requiring care of mother and baby until transfer. The organization maintains high standards for emergency care with specialized stroke and cardiac programs, providing comprehensive emergency services to the community.
