RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 3x12 night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend required
• One holiday and one eve required during holiday period
• No call responsibilities
• 1:6 nurse to patient ratio (possible stretch to 1:7)
• 2 years minimum experience required - no first time travelers
• Travel experience required
• BLS certification required, ACLS preferred
• Orthopedic and trauma experience required
• EPIC charting system experience required
• Specialize in pre-op and post-op orthopedic care
• Care for elective and trauma patients
• Handle total hip, knee, and shoulder replacements and repairs
• Work with orthopedic trauma cases
• Use rapid response teams
• Operate safe patient handling equipment and orthopedic equipment including CPM, knee immobilizer, bone foam
• Must pass EKG exam during compliance (2 attempts allowed)
• 36 hours of orientation required
• Subject to float to any campus if needed
• Care for adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• 50-mile local radius restriction applies

This healthcare facility operates a 32-bed orthopedic unit with a daily census of 31 patients, specializing in comprehensive orthopedic care including pre-operative and post-operative services. The facility provides extensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, and rapid response teams.
