RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work three 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• 2 weekend shifts or 4 weekend days per 6-week period required
• Holiday coverage as needed
• No on-call responsibilities
• Minimum 2 years emergency department experience required
• First-time travelers accepted
• Patient ratio of 4-5 patients
• Care for adult patients in 63-bed emergency department with approximately 180 visits per day
• Handle all types of emergency diagnoses and conditions
• Work in Level 2 Trauma Center with stroke and cardiac capabilities
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH Stroke Scale
• Preferred certifications: CPI, PALS, TNCC
• EPIC charting system experience required
• Previous charge nurse and Level 2 trauma experience preferred
• Must pass mandatory EKG exam with 2 attempts allowed
• Zero-tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences
• Complete 24 hours of orientation
• May float to other campuses if needed
• 50-mile local radius restriction applies

This major healthcare facility operates as a comprehensive Level 2 Trauma Center with specialized stroke and cardiac services. The emergency department features 63 beds and handles approximately 180 patient visits daily, providing care for all types of emergency conditions. The facility maintains separate adult and pediatric emergency departments and offers 24/7 respiratory therapy support along with comprehensive interdisciplinary services including IV teams, radiology, pharmacy, and social services.
