RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

RN - Cardiac Tele

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
• 36 or 48 hour contracts supported for 13-week assignments
• Patient ratios of 1:5-6
• Weekend requirement: 4 weekend days in a 6-week time track
• Float requirement to other telemetry units
• Must have 2 years minimum nursing experience
• First-time travelers accepted
• Required certifications: ACLS and BCLS
• Must pass EKG testing prior to start
• Must be comfortable with cardiac drips including Cardizem, Dopamine, dobutamine, milrinone, amiodarone, Lasix and heparin
• Skills required: telemetry monitoring, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, cardiac GTT experience
• 36 hours of orientation provided
• Navy scrubs required (not provided)
• Must use Pyxis, EPIC, and SBAR systems
• Care for patients with chest pain, arrhythmias, pacemakers, or defibrillators
• Work with heart failure navigator
• Must adhere to strict call-off policy and maintain teamwork approach
• Cannot work more than 5 days in a row or more than 60 hours per week
• Must complete 8-10 hours of non-billable modules pre-start

This medical center features a comprehensive cardiac telemetry unit with 30 beds and an average daily census of 27.9 patients. The facility provides specialized cardiac care with interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and other essential services.
