Description
RN Position Job Notes:
Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.
Opportunity:
RN - NICU
Job Details:
• Work three 12-hour shifts per week
• Required to work one extra shift every 3 weeks during periods of high census
• Patient ratios of 2-3 patients during days, nights, and weekends
• Care for neonates from 23 weeks gestation up to 1 year old
• Work in a highly surgical level 4 NICU with high acuity patients
• Float to PICU, CCU, or med surg floors for patients with compatible skill sets
• 24 hours of orientation provided
• 2 years of experience required with travel experience preferred
• Required certifications: BLS, NRP
• Epic charting system experience preferred
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)
• Must have experience with administration of blood products, central line care, ventilator management, developmental care, and various neonatal procedures
• Care for common diagnoses including PPHN, bowel perforations, NEC, BPD, tracheostomy evaluations, cardiac anomalies, gastroschisis, and hydrocephalus
• Work with specialized equipment including Drager/servo/trilogy ventilators, central lines, and NIRS monitors
• Two pre-approved time off requests allowed per contract

This pediatric healthcare facility operates a level 4 NICU with 48 beds and maintains a daily census of 32 patients. The facility specializes in high-acuity neonatal care and provides comprehensive surgical services for critically ill infants. The NICU offers extensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, physical therapy, pharmacy, and rapid response teams. The facility maintains state-of-the-art equipment and provides specialized care for complex neonatal conditions requiring advanced medical and surgical interventions.

Vincent Poast is the guy you want to deal with no matter what is your experience in traveling and profession. He always explains all pros and cons of a contract. I feel like he is on my side compared to other recruiters. The most important part for me that he always answers my calls and texts no matter if it’s a weekend or after hours! Also, if he can’t help me directly, he would get a ADEX staff member who resolves an issue right the way. The whole team has been very helpful for almost 6 contracts now. Oh, and another very important thing for me that Vince never pushes to get into a contract and bothers like a lot of other recruiters that calling and texting day and night. He lets you decide what you really want !
