RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Opportunity:

Registered Nurse - PCU

Job Details:

• 12-hour shifts with 24 hours of orientation provided
• Patient ratios of 1:3-5 based on acuity for days, nights, and weekends
• Work every other weekend per contract with potential consecutive weekends based on operational needs
• Required to float to different levels of care (Med-Surg, PCU, ICU) within hospital or affiliate hospitals
• Refusal to float may result in contract termination
• Charge nurse responsibilities may be required with training and resources provided
• Call-in shifts must be made up during pay period or added to end of contract
• Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays
• 2 years of experience required with Level I or Level II Trauma experience
• Required certifications: ACLS and BCLS
• Required skills: Telemetry, IV start, cardiac drips titration, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Must have strong cardiac/post-operative heart experience for post cardiac and vascular surgery patients
• Work with multiple drips and Alaris pumps
• Care for adult and geriatric patients
• Mixed unit may include medical-surgical patients
• Flu vaccine required with medical/religious exemptions only
• First time travelers accepted
• Local Indiana RN travelers not accepted for PCU positions
• University must be accredited by ACEN or CCNE at time of graduation
