RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Opportunity:

Registered Nurse - PACU

Job Details:

• Work 5x8 hour shifts with weekend and weekday call responsibilities
• Overnight and weekend call required
• 24 hours of orientation provided
• Experience recovering patients from general surgery, GI endoscopy, and post-operative procedures
• Care for patients across all age groups: adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics
• Daily census of 3-5 patients in 4-room unit
• 2 years of experience required with travel experience preferred
• Epic charting system experience required
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Trauma Level II experience preferred
• Required certifications: PALS, ACLS, BLS
• Must be skilled in Phase I and Phase II PACU recovery
• Experience required with blood product administration, central line care, PICC line management
• Competency needed in dysrhythmia recognition, cardioversion, and pacemaker insertion procedures
• Ability to manage IV vasopressors, anticoagulation therapy, and procedural sedation
• Proficient in pre/post operative and endoscopy procedures
• Experience with various anesthesia types including general, local, and MAC
• Block scheduling type
