RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 36 or 48-hour shifts with schedule determined during interview process
• Patient ratios of 1:4-5 for days, nights, and weekends in team nursing environment
• Weekend coverage required as needed
• On-call shifts available as needed
• Must have 2+ years of nursing experience (3+ years preferred)
• Level I Trauma experience required
• Travel nursing experience required - first-time travelers not accepted
• Large hospital experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Skills needed: Telemetry monitoring and IV start capabilities
• Must be willing to work 2 out of 3 major holidays if they fall during assignment
• Flu vaccination required with no exemptions
• Active RN license in state or compact license required
• Must live at least 100 miles from facility
• Cerner charting system experience preferred
• May float between like units and campuses within 20 miles
• Care for cardiac stepdown patients requiring continuous monitoring and observation
• Work with 48-bed unit featuring bedside and telemetry monitoring capabilities
• Provide care for patients with cardiac, pulmonary, and other disease processes requiring more than standard medical/surgical care but less than intensive care

The cardiac stepdown unit is a multidisciplinary care environment consisting of 48 private beds equipped with bedside and telemetry monitoring capabilities. The facility offers comprehensive interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and various other specialized services to ensure high-quality patient care and customer satisfaction.
