RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work in Surgical Intensive Care Unit with 2:1 patient ratios for days, nights, and weekends
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, and TNCC
• Epic charting system experience required
• Maximum 7 days return to original assignment
• Every other weekend schedule
• No call requirements
• Holiday coverage as needed, expected to work 1 of 2 major holidays
• May float to all ICU floors
• Care for adult and geriatric patient populations
• 10-bed unit specializing in complex surgical cases
• Manage patients with vascular surgeries, EVAR, TEVAR, TCAR, radical neck procedures, Whipple procedures, gynecologic oncology surgeries, necrotizing fasciitis, and complex abdominal surgeries
• Skills include arterial line management, chest tube assistance, BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, ventilator care, central line management, CVVHD/CRRT, emergency medications, ABG interpretation, dysrhythmia management, vasoactive drip titration
• Work with specialized equipment including CRRT and wound vacs
• Tobacco and fragrance-free facility
• Clean nursing license required with no license hits accepted
• Pre-start modules required (5-6 hours completion time)
• Manager interview and clinical screening required
