RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work in NICU with patient ratio of 1:3 for days, nights, and weekends
• Average daily census of 30 patients in a 46-bed unit
• Float to mother baby and pediatrics units as needed
• Every other weekend coverage required
• 24 hours of orientation provided
• Self-scheduling system utilized
• Must have 2 years NICU experience if previous traveler, or 3 years NICU experience if first-time traveler
• Epic charting system experience required
• Required certifications: BLS and NRP
• Must be assigned to "Emergency Team" during emergency events with expectation to remain at facility
• Travel experience required
• Must live over 65 miles from facility (no local travelers accepted)
• Work with neonates and infants including premature babies, respiratory distress cases, and various neonatal conditions
• Perform specialized procedures including umbilical lines, lumbar punctures, PICC placement, and intubation assistance
• Operate specialized equipment including oscillators, jet ventilators, bubble CPAP, and HFNC
• Provide comprehensive neonatal care including developmental care, feeding support, and family education

Facility:

This major medical center operates a comprehensive 46-bed NICU that provides Level III and Level IV neonatal intensive care services. The facility features advanced neonatal technology and equipment, including specialized ventilators and monitoring systems. The unit maintains interdisciplinary support with respiratory services, radiology, social services, pharmacy, and dedicated unit secretaries. The medical center follows strict compliance standards and maintains high-quality patient care protocols for critically ill neonates and infants.
