RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 8-hour day shifts from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM
• Patient ratio of 1:3-4
• Minimum 2 years of experience required with IR experience mandatory
• First-time travelers accepted
• Required certifications: ACLS, BCLS, NIH
• Must be skilled in scrub, circulate, telemetry, and have provided STEMI call experience
• Call requirement: Every 3rd week with weekday call from 4:00 PM to 7:30 AM and weekend call Friday 4:00 PM until Monday 7:30 AM
• One call weekend per month with callback time of 30 minutes for STEMIs
• Work with combo lab (IR/Cardiology) with 85%/15% split, IR being 85%
• Weekly rotation providing procedure coverage for interventional radiology, invasive cardiology, peripheral vascular, and EP device implant procedures
• Handle urgent/emergent cardiology and interventional radiology procedures
• Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays
• No floating requirements
• 16-hour orientation provided
• Scrubs provided
• Epic charting system experience required
• Preferred skills include IV start, triage, PA lines, and conscious sedation
• Work with specialized equipment including MAC Lab, IVUS, Toshiba Angio Lab, and various ablation systems
• Must complete within 48 hours after signing and all testing within 48 hours

Facility:

This medical center operates a comprehensive interventional services department featuring state-of-the-art equipment and technology for cardiac and interventional radiology procedures. The facility maintains 24/7 emergency coverage for STEMI and urgent procedures, with a team-based approach utilizing three-member teams including at least one nurse. The department handles approximately 10 visits per day across 2 procedure rooms and provides extensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams.
