RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Schedule: 3x12 hour shifts per week
• Weekend coverage required, likely every other weekend (EOW)
• Patient ratios: 5 patients during days/weekends, 6 patients during nights
• Must work 1 of 2 upcoming holidays and surrounding days
• Float to all medical-surgical floors and potentially rehabilitation unit
• May care for COVID patients
• Tobacco and fragrance-free facility
• 8 hours of orientation provided
• 2 years of nursing experience required
• EPIC charting system experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS and BLS (AHA or ARC only)
• NIHSS certification preferred
• Previous charge experience preferred
• No license hits accepted
• Maximum 7 days requested time off per contract
• Pre-start modules required (5-6 hours to complete)
• Care for adult and geriatric patients with diagnoses including CHF exacerbations, respiratory illness, arrhythmias, general surgery, orthopedic conditions, COPD, and sepsis
• Handle occasional stable open heart surgery patients transferred from ICU
• Work with specialized equipment including Artisight virtual nurses and virtual sitters

Facility:

This healthcare facility operates a 35-bed medical-surgical telemetry unit with 37 rooms, maintaining a daily census of 25-30 patients. The facility provides comprehensive interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, and rapid response teams. The unit occasionally receives stable open heart surgery patients and provides care for patients requiring stroke monitoring and peritoneal dialysis support.
