RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Work 48-hour or 36-hour shifts in Medical Surgical Telemetry unit
• Patient ratio 1:12 utilizing team nursing model with ratios split between 2 RNs, LPN, med nurse, and virtual nurse
• Day shift ratios 1:6/7 with goal of 1:5, night and weekend ratios 1:6/7
• On-call shifts as needed and weekend coverage as required
• Float between like units and campuses within 20 miles when necessary
• Work with adult and geriatric patient population on 48-bed unit with daily census of 42
• Care for cardiac med-surg patients including CHF, AMI, post cath lab, PPM placements, and ablations
• Verify rhythm strips, manage drips at set rates, and titrate heparin per protocol
• Required certifications: ACLS, NIHSS, BLS
• Skills required: MS/Tele, Med/Surg, IV Start
• 2+ years of nursing experience required (3+ years preferred)
• Level I Trauma experience required
• Travel experience required
• Large hospital experience required
• Epic charting system experience preferred
• Must work 2 of 3 major holidays if Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years fall during assignment
• Must live at least 100 miles from facility
• ADN acceptable for this position
• Flu vaccine required with no exemptions
