RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 3x12 hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend schedule - 6 weekends (both Saturday/Sunday) in 13-week contract
• Holiday coverage as needed
• Patient ratio of 1:2
• Float required if needed to all Cone Health campuses
• Individualized scheduling options available (blocked scheduling, etc.)
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• First time travelers accepted
• Previous charge experience required
• Epic charting system experience required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Zero tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences
• Pass/Fail EKG exam required for all RNs regardless of specialty
• 36 hours of orientation provided
• Care for Medical/Surgical Cardiac ICU patients including MI, CHF, cardiac surgeries, post cardiac cath, LVAD, Impella, IABP, Arctic Sun, renal failure/CRRT, respiratory failure, sepsis
• Manage open heart surgical patients, AAA repair, vascular surgeries, ECMO
• Skills required include interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, multisystem organ failure, CVVHD/CRRT, arterial line management, central line care, ventilator management
• Preferred experience with SICU, ECMO, Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump, sheath removal, TAVR procedures
