RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Registered Nurse - PCU

Job Details:

• Work three 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Weekend rotation and holiday rotation required
• No call responsibilities
• Patient ratio of 1:5
• 2 years of experience required, first-time travelers accepted
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH
• Cardiac telemetry experience required
• Must have experience with management and interpretation of dysrhythmias
• Experience with peripheral line care/management and PICC line management required
• Must be able to titrate drips
• PCU experience required
• Epic charting system experience required
• Must pass EKG exam during compliance (Pass/Fail requirement with 2 attempts allowed)
• 36 hours of orientation
• Floating required as needed between all Cone Health campuses
• Care for adult patients with stroke, renal disorders, sepsis, endocrine disorders, gastrointestinal disorders, and hematological disorders
• Work on telemetry monitored unit with cardiac surveillance
• Must complete compliance file by 12 noon EST the Wednesday prior to start date
• Zero tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences

Facility:

This healthcare organization operates a 34-bed General Medical Progressive Care Unit with all telemetry monitored beds providing comprehensive cardiac surveillance. The facility features a Centralized Cardiac Monitoring Department that provides monitoring surveillance for patients. The unit maintains a daily census of 30 patients and offers extensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretary services.
