RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Work 3x12 hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend rotation required with holidays as needed
• Patient ratio of 6:1 for days, nights, and weekends
• Float required to all Cone Health facilities
• 36 hours of orientation provided
• Minimum 2 years experience required (first time travelers accepted)
• Med Surg Telemetry and Telemetry experience required
• EPIC charting system experience required
• BLS certification required, ACLS and NIH Stroke Scale preferred
• Must pass EKG exam during compliance (2 attempts allowed)
• Care for acutely ill medical-surgical and orthopedic patients
• Manage patients with conditions including respiratory illness, post-operative cases, orthopedics, pain management, GI bleeding, CHF, diabetes, renal failure, drug overdose, CIWA patients, arrhythmias, and stable COVID patients
• Administer IV drips including Heparin and TNA
• Work with interdisciplinary team including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• Zero tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences
• 50-mile local radius restriction applies
