RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Work 4x12 hour day shifts (48 hours per week)
• Patient ratio of 1:6-7 utilizing team nursing model with caseload split between 2 RNs, LPN & Med Nurse
• 45-bed unit with daily census of 30-35 patients
• Care for adults and geriatrics including primary surgical oncology patients with medical oncology and medical-surgical overflow
• Work with patients who have central lines (PAC, PICC lines, and midlines)
• Perform wound care, drains, ostomies, and Foleys management
• Manage PCA pumps and patients receiving chemotherapy (ONS nurses only)
• Limited phlebotomy coverage during night shifts
• On-call and weekend coverage as needed
• Float between like units and campuses within 20 miles when necessary
• Must work 2 of 3 major holidays if Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years fall during assignment
• Required certifications: BLS, NIHSS
• Skills include: Administer Chemo, Conscious Sedation, IV START
• 2+ years recent experience required (3+ years preferable)
• Level I Trauma experience required
• Travel experience required - first-time travelers not accepted unless 5+ years specialty experience
• Large hospital experience required
• Flu vaccine required with no exemptions
• Must live at least 100 miles from facility
• Cerner experience preferred
