RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Work 48-hour or 36-hour shifts in Med Surg/Telemetry unit with some oncology patients
• Patient ratios: 6:1 during days, nights, and weekends with team nursing approach
• 45-bed unit with daily census of 30-35 patients
• Care for adults and geriatric patients with primary surgical oncology, medical oncology overflow, and medical-surgical overflow
• Manage patients with central lines (PAC, PICC lines, and midlines)
• Perform wound care, drains, ostomies, and Foley catheter management
• Work with PCA pumps and assist with chemotherapy administration (ONS nurses only)
• Limited phlebotomy coverage available at night
• On-call and weekend coverage as needed
• Float between like units and campuses within 20 miles when necessary
• 2+ years of experience required, 3+ years preferred
• Med Surg Oncology experience required
• Level I Trauma experience required
• Travel experience and large hospital experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, NIHSS
• Skills include: administer chemo, conscious sedation, IV start
• Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)
• Must work 2 of 3 major holidays if they fall during assignment
• Cerner experience preferred
• Active RN license in state or compact license required
• Must live at least 100 miles from facility
