RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work three 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• 2 weekend shifts or 4 weekend days required per 6-week period
• Holiday shifts as needed
• No call responsibilities
• Minimum 2 years emergency department experience required
• First time travelers are welcome
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH
• Preferred certifications: CPI, PALS, TNCC
• EPIC charting system experience required
• Previous charge nurse and Level 2 trauma experience preferred
• Must pass EKG exam during compliance (2 attempts allowed)
• Zero tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences
• Patient ratio of 4-5 patients
• Handle approximately 180 visits per day in 63-room emergency department
• Care for adult patients with various emergency conditions
• Work in stroke, cardiac, and Level 2 trauma center environment
• Respiratory therapy available 24/7 for BIPAP and ABG assistance
• Subject to float to any campus if needed
• 24 hours of orientation provided
• Compliance deadline: 12 noon EST Wednesday prior to start date

The facility specializes as a stroke center, cardiac center, and Level 2 trauma center with dedicated adult emergency services. The organization maintains extensive support services including IV teams, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, pharmacy, and transportation services to ensure comprehensive patient care.
