RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Work with medical telemetry, post cardiac catheterization, and cardiac drip patients
• Patient ratio of 6:1 during days, nights, and weekends
• Care for adult and geriatric patients with 24-bed unit capacity
• Manage patients with chest pain, CAD, diabetes, COPD exacerbations, stroke, hypertension, arrhythmias, and wound infections
• Perform pre and post angiogram/angioplasty care (no sheath pulls), assist with pacemaker/AICD procedures, and general surgical procedures
• Operate telemetry monitoring equipment, manage chest tubes, and wound vacs
• Titrate cardiac drips including Cardizem, Amiodarone, Dobutamine, Nitroglycerin, Dopamine, and heparin
• Perform bedside sheath pulling procedures
• Float to all other inpatient units as needed (agency nurses pulled first)
• Work every other holiday with weekend coverage required
• Complete 12 hours of orientation
• Must have 2 years of acute care experience and telemetry experience
• Required certifications: BLS (must be AHA)
• Preferred certifications: ACLS, NIH
• Must have ability to interpret and manage dysrhythmias
• Work with Epic charting system
• Must be over 65 miles from facility (no local travelers accepted)
