RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Work 3x12 hour shifts per week
• Med Surg Orthopedic unit with floating to MS/Tele units as needed
• Patient ratio of 5-6 patients during all shifts
• 72 hours of orientation required
• Adult patient population with daily census of 26
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Must complete EKG exam during onboarding
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
• Minimum 1 year recent experience in Med Surg/Tele within a large healthcare facility
• Strong orthopedic experience required
• 1 year of Epic EMR experience required
• Travel experience required
• Charge experience preferred
• Level I Trauma experience preferred
• Weekend coverage required
• Self-scheduling system
• One pre-approved time off request allowed
• Must be greater than 100 miles from facility or meet specific distance exceptions
• Pre-assignment testing and modules must be completed within 48 hours
• Flu vaccine required with no exemptions
• Must provide Social Security Number with submittal
• Orientation begins every Monday

This regional teaching medical center is designated as a Level I Adult and Level II Pediatric Trauma Center featuring 641 licensed beds. The facility offers advanced specialty programs including cardiac care, stroke, and vascular services. It houses an Acute Care for the Elderly (ACE) unit specifically designed for patients 65+ who are at higher risk for complications, staffed by a multidisciplinary team focused on mobility, recovery, and reducing length of stay. The hospital maintains comprehensive support services including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams.
