RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• 2 years of nursing experience required
• Travel experience required
• First-time travelers not accepted
• On-call responsibilities as needed
• No floating within facility
• Weekend coverage not required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BCLS
• Must have conscious sedation skills
• Must be able to circulate procedures
• Cerner EMR experience preferred
• Florida license or compact license required at time of submittal
• Must live at least 100 miles from facility
• Scrub color: Royal Blue
• 20 hours of orientation required
• Work with patients aged adults and geriatrics
• Daily census of 6-20 patients
• Work in 3-room unit
• Handle patient diagnoses including coronary disease, peripheral vascular disease, valvular disease, STEMI/NSTEMI
• Perform procedures including cardiac cath, high risk PCI, peripheral interventions, carotid stents, research, TAVR/Mitraclip workup
• Work with specialized equipment including Impella, Shockwave, Rotoblator, CSI, IABP, Laser
• Pass/fail EKG exam required (3 attempts allowed)
• Complete pre-start modules (up to 8 billable hours)

This short-term acute care teaching hospital operates 599 staffed beds and provides comprehensive cardiac services. The facility features a state-of-the-art cardiac catheterization laboratory with advanced equipment and technology for complex cardiovascular procedures. The hospital offers extensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation services.
