RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Opportunity:

Registered Nurse - PACU

Job Details:

• Work (4) 10-hour shifts between Monday and Friday with alternating days off
• Pre-OP shift: 5:30 AM - 4:00 PM, Recovery shift: 8:30 AM - 7:00 PM
• Call requirements for after-hours or weekend cases - 1 night per week and every 7th weekend
• Patient ratio of 2:1 for days, nights, and weekends
• 1-2 call weekends per contract
• 20 hours of orientation provided
• Must have 1+ years of experience (2 years preferred)
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIH
• Epic charting system experience required
• Community hospital experience required
• Must pass Cardiac Dysrhythmia Test and Moderate Sedation Test during orientation with only one chance to pass
• Care for patients of all age groups: infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Primarily ortho/spine patients, but also general surgery, plastics, ophthalmology, ENT, and urology
• Daily census of 20 patients with 18 rooms/beds available
• Must be at least 75 miles from facility (local candidates not accepted)
• Pending license accepted but must obtain prior to starting
• All requested time off must be included on initial submission
• Compliance documents due 5 business days prior to start date
• Must complete lab work within 24 hours after signing
• Attendance policy: contract may be cancelled if more than two shifts are missed per 13-week contract without reasonable explanation
