Allied Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Allied Healthcare Professional needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available

Opportunity:

Radiology / Cardiology - Interventional Radiology; Additional Notes from VMS= Angiography Tech

Job Details:

• Work 4x10 day shifts Monday through Friday, typically 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM
• On-call rotation required including weekdays and weekends with every third weekend required (5-6 total weekends in contract)
• Approximately 8 days per month on-call including 1 weekend per month with 30-minute response time
• 40 hours per week guaranteed
• Average daily census of 7-10 patients
• 1 year of experience required
• First time travelers accepted
• Floating required to sister facility 2 miles away for 1 week
• Open to accommodating blocked schedule requests within reason
• Blue surgical scrubs issued by hospital
• Free parking provided for travelers
• Required licenses: ARRT, WV State License (may submit with pending but must be active prior to start)
• Required certifications: BLS; Vascular Intervention Certification preferred
• Work in interventional vascular radiology suite performing peripheral angiography/venography with intervention, EVAR, TEVAR, carotid stenting, neuro-intervention including acute stroke, and embolization
• Equipment operation including PACS, fluoroscopy (Siemens & ultrasound preferred), and maintaining equipment and inventory
• Procedural responsibilities include accurate monitoring, equipment set up, EKG lead placement, access site prep, recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias, room circulation, scrub and maintain sterile field, and vascular closure systems
• Must maintain sterile technique and infection control standards
• Charting system: Cerner
• Orientations held every other Monday
• Must complete non-billable modules averaging 2-6 hours prior to start

This facility is a Level IV Trauma Center and major teaching hospital that is a member of the Council of Teaching Hospitals and Health Systems (COTH). The short-term acute care facility operates 838 total staffed beds and provides comprehensive interventional radiology services. The facility features modern equipment including Siemens fluoroscopy systems and maintains high standards for patient care and safety protocols.
