RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 36/36 schedule with every other weekend requirement
• Maintain 1:7 patient ratios for days, nights, and weekends
• No call responsibilities required
• Floating to other units required
• Must live 100+ miles from facility
• 1 year of nursing experience required
• Community hospital experience required
• First time travelers accepted
• AHA BLS certification required, NIHSS preferred
• Epic charting system experience required
• 12 hours of orientation (16 hours total including non-billable orientation)
• General orientation begins on Sundays with online CBLs
• Care for adult and geriatric patients with average daily census of 35
• Expected to participate in nursing student support and clinical education
• Skills include med/surg care, rapid response/code teams, peripheral line management, oxygen administration, and isolation precautions
• Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and social services
• Facility may cancel one shift biweekly without penalty due to census decreases
• Must complete drug test 12-14 days prior to start date
• Facial hair must be trimmed for fit testing per CDC guidelines
• Complete 4-5 hours of non-billable modules during orientation
