RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM (3x12 schedule)
• Every other weekend and every other holiday required
• Float within skillset as needed
• Patient ratio of 4:1 (days, nights, and weekends)
• 36 hours of orientation provided
• Must successfully pass Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with minimum 80% overall score and 100% on lethal rhythms
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS
• Cerner EMR experience required
• Triage experience required (hard stop)
• 2 years of nursing experience required
• Travel experience required (hard stop)
• Must have worked in ED setting with at least 45,600 visits per year (125/day) within past 8 months
• Care for patients of all ages: neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, geriatrics
• Manage daily census of 130 patients with 40 rooms/beds available
• Requires expert prioritization and organizational skills for fast-paced ER environment
• Skills include BiPAP/CPAP management, ventilated patient care, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, phlebotomy, IV starts and maintenance
• No on-call requirements
• Flu vaccination required with no exemptions
• Must complete facility-specific modules within one week of contract signing

The facility maintains a high-volume emergency department with 40 beds and handles approximately 130 patient visits daily. The emergency department provides interdisciplinary support services including respiratory services, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretary support to ensure comprehensive patient care.
