RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts with 36 hours guaranteed per week
• Target patient ratio of 1:6-7 (ratio of 7 only occurs with last-minute call-outs)
• Every other weekend requirement
• 13-week contract assignments available
• May be floated to other units with same skill levels or tasks
• 12 hours of unit orientation plus hospital orientation week one
• Must be available for classes each day during orientation week
• Maximum 7 days RTO allowed
• Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays
• Cannot work more than 5 days in a row and/or more than 60 hours per week
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• First-time travelers accepted only if they have EPIC experience
• Required skills: IV start, some non-titratable cardiac drips, telemetry patients knowing rhythms
• Required certifications: BCLS
• Preferred certifications: ACLS and NIH
• Must complete 8-10 hours of non-billable modules pre-start and annually
• Care for medical and post-surgical patients with remote telemetry monitoring
• Use Pyxis, EPIS, and SBAR systems
• Scrubs requirement: Navy blue, white, or combination of navy/white
• NC or Compact license required in hand at time of start

This medical center is a comprehensive healthcare facility that provides acute care services with specialized units including medical-surgical and telemetry monitoring. The facility maintains modern equipment and technology including remote telemetry monitoring systems and supports interdisciplinary care teams with services such as IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy support. The organization emphasizes quality patient care and maintains a daily census of approximately 30 patients.
