RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Critical Care Float position with rotating day/night shifts based on operational needs
• Work 8-hour, 10-hour, or 12-hour shifts with guaranteed hours: 40 hours/week for 8-10 hour shifts, 36 hours/week for three 12-hour shifts, or 48 hours/week for four 12-hour shifts
• Must float across ICU, PCU, Medical-Surgical, and Emergency Department as needed
• 3 years of experience required with strong ICU and PCU floating experience
• Must be able to handle higher patient ratios (2-5 patients)
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Indiana state license required - must be in hand prior to start
• Travel experience required - first-time travelers not accepted
• Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays
• 24 hours of orientation provided
• Dress code: Red scrub top, black scrub bottoms
• Chart using Cerner system
• Work with adult patients in a 12-bed ICU with daily census of 7
• Handle patient diagnoses including ARDS, COPD, STEMI, NSTEMI, DKA, AKI, UTI, and acute shock
• Operate specialized equipment including ventilators, Arctic Sun, and balloon pumps
• Perform procedures such as catheter lab work, TR bands, sheath pulls, EEGs, cardioversion, and stress tests
• Manage complex cases including ventilated patients, arterial lines, central lines, and cardiac drips
• Free parking provided
• Flu vaccine required with medical/religious exemptions only
