RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Level 2 trauma operating room position covering trauma cases including gunshot wounds and car accidents
• Work with Da Vinci Robots, hybrid room for vascular cases, ENT specialty, general surgery, orthopedic trauma, eye surgery, and gynecology including Gyn oncology
• Experience with all procedures not required - does NOT include open-heart surgery or organ transplants
• 10 operating rooms with average daily census of 32 patients
• Patient population ranges from infants to geriatrics
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS
• Minimum 2 years of experience required; first-time travelers accepted
• Epic, Pyxis, and SBAR systems used
• Scrubs provided by facility
• Every third weekend required unless specified elsewhere
• Floating within facility/scope of practice as needed
• Call requirements: Approximately 7 days per month plus holidays including one weekend per month on rotation
• Call typically starts when shift ends, except weekends which are 24-hour call
• Three levels of call indicating probability of being called in
• Holiday work required based on assignment period (1-2 holidays = work all, 3 holidays = work 2)
• Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, New Years Eve/New Years Day
• Maximum 7 days requested time off allowed
• 40 hours of orientation
• Full compliance required to start on time
