RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Registered Nurse - PCU

Job Details:

• 8-week assignment duration
• Every other weekend (EOW) schedule required
• Patient ratio of 1:5 during days, 1:6 during nights and weekends
• Float to Medical/Surgical units as needed
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, Alabama nursing license
• Must have 2 years of nursing experience
• Required work settings experience: MS/Tele, Telemetry, and PCU/Stepdown
• Strong cardiac monitoring and emergency response skills required
• Must be able to start IVs and follow Heparin protocols
• Manage cardiac drips without titration
• Skills include telemetry monitoring, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, use of Rapid Response/Code teams
• Blood product administration and central/peripheral line care and management
• Oxygen administration and non-invasive airway management
• Knowledge of isolation precautions and PPE protocols
• Charting system experience required
• First-time travelers accepted
• Maximum 7 days requested time off allowed
• Modules completed during orientation (non-billable, approximately 8 hours)
