RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• 3x12 schedule with every other weekend and every other holiday required
• Patient ratio of 4:1 across all shifts
• Float within skillset as needed
• No on-call requirements
• 36 hours of orientation provided
• Must successfully pass the Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with minimum 80% overall score and 100% on lethal rhythms
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS
• Cerner EMR experience required
• Triage experience required
• Must have worked in an ED setting with at least 45,600 visits per year (125/day) within the past 8 months
• 2 years of nursing experience required
• Travel experience required
• Care for patients of all ages: neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Manage BiPAP/CPAP, ventilated patients, interpret and manage dysrhythmias
• Perform phlebotomy, start and maintain IVs, follow isolation precautions
• Work in fast-paced environment with daily census of 130 patients
• 40-room emergency department with interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation
• Must have compact license or MD license
• Flu vaccine required with no exemptions
