RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 3x12 day shifts from 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• Patient ratio of 1:5
• Minimum 3 weekends required in 6-week period
• Possibility of being placed on call
• Possibility of floating depending on unit/hospital needs
• 1 year of experience required, first-time travelers accepted
• Med/Surg and telemetry experience required
• Must be comfortable with pediatric population
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS (PALS required before start)
• Any color scrubs acceptable - must look professional
• Charting system: Meditech
• 12 hours of orientation provided
• Maximum 7 days RTO allowed
• If calling in for a shift, must pick up another shift to make up for the absence
• Care for patients with chest pain, CHF, COPD, pneumonia, sepsis, post-surgical patients, and pediatric observation cases
• Responsible for primary nursing, vitals, and phlebotomy
• Work with interdisciplinary team including PT, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams

This 78-bed short-term acute care facility provides comprehensive medical and surgical services to the community. The hospital maintains a medical-surgical unit with 26 beds and serves patients across all age groups from pediatrics to geriatrics. The facility offers limited resources but maintains quality patient care with interdisciplinary support services including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams. The organization focuses on primary nursing care and emphasizes communication and teamwork among healthcare professionals.
